The Phantom

as i look through the blackened night
the phantom is in my sight
i listen closely for his call
i only hear him that is all
then he screams a deafening sound
then i realize what i found
the phantom is calling for me
i look closer so i can see
then he brings me to a World Of Hate
then i realize about his fate
the phantom does not want to die
so i scream why why why
its up to me to make the choice
the phantom screams his dieing voice
but i guess my choice was wrong
now i feel i don't belong
i looked in the mirror to see what I've become
and the in the reflection i'm The Phantom

Poem of the Day

poet Paul Laurence Dunbar

The mist has left the greening plain,
The dew-drops shine like fairy rain,
The coquette rose awakes again
Her lovely self adorning.
