The Phantom Lover Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

The Phantom Lover

THE PHANTOM LOVER

Did i remember the fading night of stars?

forgetting a name in a dream, before the sun was up
that morning and settled on a table
a window outside,

an intruder of, so fine in memory like a girl
you left behind so long ago that youth didn't treat right
without a word of thanks

This damask memory of fine intimacy
, usually intruding in your night
like a misplaced valuables of conscience.?

Now you are left with a call in the night,
A misplaced origin of youth neglect.

What if we could turn back time and events
and gather these treasure,
the heart,
we callously forgot?
this phantom lover like a silk intruder
comes again calling, in the altar of dreams
you had sex again,

And during the intervals,
calls you again in that loud cry
of ecstasy and
consummation like a wet stain,

With stained
of a ghosts dreams?

What would you
that young abandon bride
like a misplaced key to your heart.

What time cannot correct,
are the possibilities,

Was it the greatest love,
of your life and youth?
