The Place Where Poetry Resides

Rating: 5.0

the place where poetry resides
what mortal soul can tell?
'twere easier to say whence comes a dream.
what course the wind of heaven rides,
or where the faeries dwell,
or whether love is able to redeem.

researching realms of ecstacy
her verses fill the soul!
or spill like wine and leave a crimson stain
to ease some grave insanity,
should sadness take it's toll,
to gladden or endeavor to explain.

her country knows no boun'ry lines;
her gentle reign extends
from heaven to the very depths of hell.
no law her policy defines,
nor edict she portends,
but those who listen closely to her spell;

partake of wisdom she provides
and immortality,
becoming loyal subjects of her realm.
the place where poetry resides
with her society,
seems anywhere emotions overwhelm.
