This Plural Values OfLife

This life you are watching,
Observing, or trying to understand,

Not an exclusive rights, but including the others, for all its worth,

Those appreciated, those ostracized,
Those that had come before,
Fragile as these weathered leaves.

A lone deforested tree cut into logs,
A dead cat, a roadside carcass,

The funeral cortegie of a young girl, a raped victim.

The sudden entry of deaths wings,

Life's plural values for these singular disaster.
