The Pool Poem by Ernesto Garcia

The Pool

In darkness I lay
Waiting for the day
The day that never comes
The day that I will succumb
To my fears and desires
Release all my anger
Into an everlasting fire
A fire like a pool
A pool of blood and fuel
Blood that has soaked
This nation’s past
When will this country
Get what it deserves at last
The endless trails
Of blood and tears
Filling up the pool
The pool of blood and fuel
A fuel that burns
Not of pride
But of something more
That makes people hide
Hide not only from their fears
But from the governments cheers
Their cheers of war
Meaningless war
That has left
Nothing but hate
For the stars and stripes
And it is all too late
To smother and put out
The fire, the pool
Of blood and fuel

Government wahala is everywhere.. People do evil for one man's greed Only to satisfy a selfish need But that shouldn't stop us from making it... We will not hide in fear or be consumed by it You write well my friend

for people like us, who love peace and do firmly respect what ''humanity'' really means, it is so difficult to accept the 'simple' fact that the human beings are the worst enemy of themselves.. even when they simply stay silent and do not oppose all those who foment hatred.. wherever they are.. Thanks for sharing
