The Poor House Poem by Timothy David

The Poor House

The paint was peeling on the ceiling
And the floor was wet and cold
The blanket it was full of holes
And the kitchen full of mould
But such is life for many
And wouldn’t it be looked at as a sin
If a man like Me went walking by
And offered to take them in

Beautiful, short n sweet and with a powerful message. We are a bunch of ignorent lot. The people around us very well avoid the one in need. To the pain and suffering we wont pay any heed. A Good poem, with descriptive lines.
