The Portal Poem by Rey Benipayo

The Portal

In this room, a small room
Where I live for days
I discovered a portal,
A doorway behind my bed
It will lead you an undiscovered place
An untold barangay in my town
A place in Bicol that's unknown
It's a place they called Sitio Esperanza,
A land of encandtoes, duwede,
And other mythical creatures
It's a peaceful place, a magical one
It's a place full of adventures
It's a mix of fun and scare
Where your dreams do come true
A special place to escape
That all my burdens has been gone for a while
I stayed there until my quarantine days is over.
