The Power Of Light Poem by Pamela Lee Hamilton

The Power Of Light

Dark, cold, empty room
Endless hole of hopeless doom

Trapping souls within its walls
Blocking out their helpless calls

But out of no where it comes to save them
A warm bright light upon a slick waxy stem

This room was once a darkened cave
and once, the light had no one to save

But now the light brings joy, hope, and cheer
And now the room holds no more fear

But then a gust of wind kills the flame
And now the room is no longer the same

Darkness takes over once again
And the room becomes another den

The souls now think that all is lost
Wanting the light back at any cost

But soon the horrible darkness will go
As the sun comes up ready to show

Light beats darkness end of story
So please remember not to worry

Light will be there to come and save you
Forever and always this will be true
