The Powers Poem by Mohammad Nazar

The Powers

The Water rolls and tumbles over with great force,
It has the thunderous features of many running horse.
The Fire licks and slashes at anything it can reach,
The limits are unknown besides the sand of the beach.
The Wind travels at a tremendous speed and is where no one else has ever been,
It can bend round corners yet can never be seen.
The Earth tremors and jerks, releasing pressure in a giant burst,
It is everywhere and always there first.

These four all so amazing in talent,
When all are in the elements they are the most gallant.

The sea so deep you can’t advance too far,
But not so high as to reach a star.
The flames so hot they’ll singe your skin,
But put without air it won’t survive in a tin.
Then tornados whirl and throw things out of its way,
Was present when even the humans were sleeping in the hay.
The land holds the life in the nutrients of its soil,
The forests are destroyed when the people of the world aren’t loyal.

Although these powers seem extremely wild,
The consequences of the devastations are quite mild.

The Water gushes low,
Over the Earth towards its foe.
The Fire cackles at its pitiful attempt,
As it slashes with a white strike of contempt.
Brewing up the red hot hate,
The Fire awaits the coming of its fate.
The Earth not caring for much attention,
Happy that there is a release of tension.

The war between the Earth, Water, Wind and Fire,
All of them are equal none lower or higher.

The devastation spreads as the fight persists,
No certain victor of the elements it consists.
One can’t win for the strengths they comprise,
For in the end they shall all compromise.
The Earth obstructs and shapes the frame,
The Fire licks at the world setting it aflame,
The Water gives life and erodes the rock,
The Wind is able to spread seeds of nutritious stock.

Now the world contains all of these four,
And never do they show the fury that was present before.
