The Preacher Poem by Roy Sumner

The Preacher

He began licking his lips
As i told him how i felt about religion
Molding my love for science
Into contumacies encroaching his dogma

After setting me straight
With his powers of condescension
He galloped afar

Disdain began to emanate
Alongside a strange kind of envy
It really was a beautiful unicorn
