The Problem With Buying Peanut-Butter Poem by Dennis Parker

The Problem With Buying Peanut-Butter

The problem with buying peanut-butter
Is choosing the right brand.
Should I get the one with that little fairy
or the one with the peanut man

But also there is the problem
of choosing a butter style
when you get to the peanut butter shelf
you could be there for a while.

there’s the question of choosing crunchy or smooth
And now they’ve added organic.
Whenever I go to buy peanut butter
I find myself in a panic.

I look at the kind called “Old Fashion”
And mixtures of various kinds
Like peanut butter with jelly or chocolate
The choices blow the mind.

So to speed up my shopping
So I can get back to my car
The choice is really simple
I just buy one of each jar.
