The Puck Has Plopped Poem by David Darbyshire

The Puck Has Plopped

You grow up quick
Holding an ice hockey stick
That’s how it’s meant to be

Two team’s face-off
The gloves come off
Watch weekly on TV

Heads are dropped
The puck is plopped
Smack it past the goalie

That surface is hard
You’re going to get scared
We love to play hockey

The score is important
We must win the pennant
The crowd goes crazy
