The Queen Mary Poem by Ima Ryma

The Queen Mary

The Queen Mary was built to be
A passenger ocean liner
To sail the North Atlantic sea,
No accommodation finer.
But World War II did come, and so
As troopship she was serviced for
Thousands of troops on her did go
To help the Allies in the war.
Hitler put a bounty on her,
But the 'Grey Ghost' would not be caught.
All challenges she did endure,
Till victory in time was brought.

Through it all the Queen Mary sailed.
In war and peace she never failed.
