The Quilt......(Not The Guilt) Poem by RIC BASTASA

The Quilt......(Not The Guilt)

something new indeed, for i know you are committed,
to someone else, married and having a family of your own.

Me, too, but love has always been a wanderer under the cover
of silent stars, and under the golden sheen of the moon, with
it borrowed light.

we shall strive too on borrowed love. I borrow from you and
i must savor it, till i return it back.

you take me without a word, and i am speechless with too much
bliss.

a mouth cannot speak when it is full, and a heart so full lies
gently on the pool of pleasure.

my heart is a floating lotus on the muddy murky pool.
it purity is beyond the reach of the blue butterfly.

something new indeed has unruffled before our tired eyes, tired of
love and affection, our hands becoming cups for wine and air.

you lay there naked and i too undress to make a compliment of your
loneliness.

we are too honest not to say anything. we are too blissful in everything.

we make love tonight and tomorrow morning we two depart, as i go north
and then you go south.

this is our story and as you cannot tell it, i am telling it, with so much quilt. Piece by piece to create a work of art.
