The Race Poem by MERCY OTIENO

The Race

The race had began
Long before my existence
Athletes ran hard and wild
To win the trophy they must
Some tripped and fell
Others went off the course
Few were inept and immature
The strong and swift forged ahead
Ultimately one hit the jackpot
Happily took the prize home
From that moment my life began.
