The Gist Of Life Is The Actual
Life is a miracle, and a mystery to unwrap
A gift from gods beyond our pale,
An understanding beyond our grasp?
I like the things We've figured out, the theories and the facts
And I don't mean to leave god out, but the way some believer's act
Is so abhorrent and absolutely full of sin and evils ways, that
They'd never admit their false nor true, no matter what God prays.
I see the truth as reality, the plain and simple day by day
Seasoned with all the latest discoveries, and things that science has to say.
Not the ancient old-school scriptures presented as absolute and factual
We've seen that way won't lead to truth
The real gist of life is the actual.
