The Realm Of Moonlight Poem by Night Flyer

The Realm Of Moonlight

Rating: 5.0

In the mystic moments of Winter's silent scene
Lies a realm of moonlight, so precious and serene
That glows in frozen splendor above the leafless trees
And leads the mind to wander in ancient mysteries
So surreal and entrancing, it rules the endless sky
In mesmerizing wonder to the slumbering eye
This dreamland of the ages, adrift in silver haze
Shines through my bedroom window, and to its mists, I gaze.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Was driving at night recently and noticed the moon up in the clouds. Felt very inspired by this, and thought about writing a poem. Later that night I woke up in the early hours of the morning, and these words came to me.

Outstanding poetry! The best poems are those that come from feeling and not so over thought.
