The Reflection Of What You Believe Poem by Robert Hilary

The Reflection Of What You Believe

In a vast reaching desert,
where sands do shift and blow.
there stand tombs, like shadows,
with a power to blind the soul.
great structures, feats unequaled by man.
great constructs of labor, and will.
stand fast through every century,
like they have, and may ever will.
every day, we toil.
we work. until we die.
Why No one ever questions,
I could not answer why.
Since days of old, we've been controlled,
By phantoms beyond our vision.
but the time is close,
your getting old,
So please make your decision.
will you decide, to be the affected,
or be the cause, that reflects your will.
your will is the light to guide you.
a force, that pushes, and pulls.
a pulse within your being,
that connects you with the flow.
within, are many secrets.
Locked within the mind, and soul.
each of us immortal. beings, who do not die.
because even though, we may be dead,
we are still alive.
swimming in a multiverse,
an ocean, of sound and waves.
in which we could dive to any depth,
but all we do is wade.
do you know, what you have for got.
The wisdoms', of knowing not.
do you know, that knowing fails,
where understanding does prevail.
can you feel the words i've wraught,
can you grasp, the scene I plot.
It all depends, on what you see.
the reflection, of what you believe.
