voluptuous? or are you merely obese?
only the media knows this for sure!
just heed an upcoming press release;
if problems you got, they'll offer 'the cure'.
but don't watch commercials in between
the segments. ads selling first diets then food
feed one on the other - a frenzy obscene!
it's no wonder american attitude
is caught betwixt Scylla and Charybdis.
'you never can be too rich or too thin.'
a mindset that's proven untrue and insideous;
to carry such spite for the body you're in!
quite vanished intrigue for the Rubinesque figure
the beauty once painted with full rounded hips.
the only thing these days a woman wants bigger
is breast size! - the only thing fuller? her lips!
programmed discontent, tho some profit thereby
the rest merely scramble to ease the self-hate
of not being thin. while the likes fo me try
to keep our frail bodies a healthier weight.
