The River Of Blood Poem by Daya Nandan

The River Of Blood

There is a special river i know that represents mankind,
The waters of it reflecting actions of the mind,
But now the once clear water has turned into a crimson red,
Because of all the mindless slaughter, so many men dead,

Now the remains of many rushes in just like a flood,
Turning the river to a crimson red, A horrid river of blood,
And every second that passes, another person dies,
And every second that passes, a loved one cries,

The once life giving river is now filled with rotten flesh,
The river now so badly polluted, the water is no longer fresh,
Polluted by the blood of many, the river now flows in vain,
The river of blood that now represents cruelty and pain,

A river of blood built on ignorance, cruelty and inhumanity,
That flows down a dark red stream full of sorrow and vanity,
If you touch the water, there will be a vision that you shall see,
A vision of their torture and sufferings that brings tears to me,

You will understand them, the crying souls beneath the stream,
The agony, torment, misery and anguish behind their ghostly scream,
Dead bodies float upon the river because of atrociously twisted minds,
Men possessed by an unquenchable thirst for power and blood that blinds,

The more corpses of men massacred by horrid ways so unkind,
The stronger the flow of the river bringing shame upon mankind,
The more the river of blood grows, the weaker my faith upon humanity,
Men chasing money and power through war, minds engulfed by insanity,

It tears my heart to see our world being destroyed by such evil,
Tainting the earth with stupidity, horrendous works of the devil,
It disgusts me, the sight of dead bodies and severed body parts,
But what disgusts me more are the twisted minds and rotten hearts,

We must unite for mankind and fight against this ultimate madness,
So the river can be clear again and mankind can be free from this sadness,
Before things get worse, before the river overflows and starts a flood,
Before the world we live in is drowned in an ocean of sorrow and blood,
