The River Runs Red Poem by Myrtle Thomas

The River Runs Red

</></>

And The River Runs Red

cold the stream that runs
through rivers bloody way
raging beast of wilderness
untamed to ridicule
a beast that stands upright
devouring freedoms life force
to pour the soul out
a coward holding power
in cold blue Steele
setting off fireworks
brilliant blast reveal
the warm indigo runs rivers of red
no bandage white and pure

ascends the contents upward
to the mind of God
as the indigo color beg
for vengeance in loud cries, being heard
counting time to redemption
for Christ holds the key

the wheat and tares ready for harvest
seems the wicked now in power
combats weapons! squeeze the breath
as death prevails the vessels thirst
the captain of the army of demons
empower willing souls
to rebel and destroy life's innocents
the evil men haste to enjoy
shed the indigo in blue misery
and drown the lungs of humanity
forgoing love and the light of glory
they are in this world of darkness
locked in chains of unbelief

Every day on the news more and more
murders make the daily news. And we who know love and
Christ's glorious light know evils time is almost out.The clocks hands are moving more
swiftly as prophycies are being fulfilled.
