The long ago that was yesterday
is flying at the speed
of asphalt under this car.
Unlike your whiny sounds
the rains drop splitter-splatter
on this weather beaten tin.
The yesterday that was once now
left a parched throat
and only one wow
yearning for your wine
a soul twisting elixir.
The now holds no gold..
As cold kisses tender skin,
candle light silhouettes
a woman I once knew
was glued to your dark fate.

Very poignant write, all of our yesterday's were once now! Very intensely the truth of our realities. Very well written and meaningful - your imagery is impeccable! Love this one. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
