' The Rose Is A Flower-Empress ' Poem by MoonBee Canady

' The Rose Is A Flower-Empress '

(Gen.1: 11 & Gen.2: 8,15 / Matt.6: 28–30 /
(Prov.6: 6 / Rom.1: 19,20 / Matt.13: 10–15)

Look At Her
In Her Bouquet
She Knows She’s The Best
Pick of Today …

Such Vivid Color
Or Softly Hued
and Look At The Poise
With Which She’s Imbued

Such Lovely Lines
Such Stately Grace
Such Perfect Symmetry
… of Her Face

… Stands Out In Crowd
Or Alone In Vase
She Is The Empress
Of Petals’ Empire Race!

… Other Flowers
All Scheme & Stare
They Wish They Had
Her Blossoms’ Flair

For Every Man
Becomes Debonair
With A Dozen of The Empress’s
Men At–Arms … To Bear

The Rose Holds Court
In Ordered – Arrangements
Over Her Entourage
… Her Entertainment

She’s A Scepter of Love
Signet-Sonnet For Heart
& Fragrance of Goodwill
… She Regally Imparts

But If One Is Careless
Of Her Placement–Highborn
Her Soldiers Rush In
With Sharp Barbed Thorns!

She Is Cultured-Classic
She Is “The Rose, The Great! ”
& Down Thru History
Armies of Admirers – Relate …

To The Favored First–Lady
Of All The Flowers! …
The Rose’s Legend Grows
As Does Her Look of Power:

… ‘An English Rose’
‘Wild Irish Rose’
‘An American Rose’
‘A Spanish Rose’ …

I Told You So …
and Many ‘ Nose ’
The Flower–Empress’s
Empire Grows! …

‘The Rose Garden’
‘The Rose Room’
& Poets Have Spoke of
‘The Rose In Bloom’ …

‘The Rose Bowl’
‘The Rose Parade’
‘The War of The Roses’
(Had Pretenders Afraid!)

… in Posies, In Garlands
In Wreaths, In Leis
Even The Exotic Orchid
Bowed Out & Obeyed

‘The Desert Rose’
‘The Gypsy Rose’
‘The Lady Rose’
“What’s In A Name” Shows …
(Shakespeare Knows)

‘Round Rose Bushes
… Dance At Rose Hall
(I Don’t Think The Rose’s Rise
Will Ever Fall!)

Yes, The Rose Is Crowned
“The Fair Flower–Empress”
She Rules Over Any
& Every Flower Princess
(Just Ask Any Heiress–
Yellow Rose of Texas)

To The …

Beloved Home Grown
and Pageantry Strong
& Most Florist Throngs
Have Always Known …

She Is Nature’s Nobility
To Royalty She Belongs
So Long Reign The Rose
In Her Crystal Throne!

(or on a coffee table
in a pot copper tone – he he!)
