The Rubber Tramp Poem by Gloria Nicolelli

The Rubber Tramp

Rating: 5.0

A tramp can be something of a bum!
No home, roots, love or job, just a thumb! He is aimless, useless, an angry being
Constant pain of his past upbringing. Under the garbage of this mess
Is a man of beauty and finesse. He rides the buses as a tramp
While inside, he hides "His" lamp! Lamp now visible to brighten his way
No returning to the tramp of "yesterday." Out of a tramp, arose the man
Who now fulfills my life, and God's plan.
