The Sage Poem by Marilena Now

The Sage

The Sage has whispered in my ear
"The light you see is true and clear
The wonders, miracles are near
Rejoice and have no fear.

I heard your prayers, strong and loud
Sometimes you begged, you stated proud
That you can't see me in the crowd
You shouted, hurtful sound.

Shed bitter tears, closing your eyes
I had no choice, but let you rise
Out of your misery, alone you walked
I held my hand, you stumbled, fought

You told me lies, I showed you Truth
You asked for more, I gave you proof
You searched the heavens, asked the stars
I almost lost you, your hope was scarce

You hit the ground, but broke no bone
Now, can you see? you're not alone
I'm always close, right in your sight,
Don't look above, only inside."
