The Scourge Of God Poem by George Krokos

The Scourge of God is now called Corona virus
as so many have died around the world to date;
our own carelessness and stupidity now taunt us
considering the march of our progress until late.

This death toll will only rise as the time goes by
unless a suitable vaccine is developed and used
for man hasn't forsaken his evil ways to comply
with the laws of nature that are so widely abused.

When mankind's morality has hit an all time low
it's really no wonder then how it has come to be
in the situations it finds itself in today that show
there is only one way out for all mankind to see.

The bad has outweighed the good in the balance
that's evident in the whole world seen as a scale
where nature's laws are flouted by nonchalance
and thus history repeats itself again without fail.

This is also seen in those places with the highest
recorded death toll that the statistics have shown
as they still don't yet realise the problem is direst
in nations disregarding all the facts of their own.
