Child of the Spring-time,
Daughter of May,
Your hours are filled with laughter and play.
Woman of Summer,
Sun shining bright,
Back to a home and family tonight.
Lady of Autumn,
Leaf falling down,
Tell all your stories; share your wisdom around.
Grandmother Winter,
Left out in the cold,
Forgotten the joy of growing old.
Back to the Earth,
Mother Nature will send,
Each one of us when we meet our end.
Even cold winter will pass away,
Beginning the morning,
Of a new Spring day.
Hey Arboreslorien, Your pen is much older than your age. This is a wonderful poem, and am pleasantly suprised of the content it beholds. Such wise words from such a young person. I like how you compared persons to the seasons - ever changing, and fading, then renewing themselves even after their life has been gone. Lovely. -L.C.
