The Self, Atman: 1, Unreal Scarce Doth Exist
Unreal scarce doth exist
Never can unreal come to be,
Nor ever real ceases to be,
Perceived have the seekers of troth
Reality O of them both!
Truth ever lives with the same face,
For all time to come, in all space,
Nor has untruth face, nor yet place,
He that can the truth within see,
The seer knows both this Reality.|| 2.16 ||

Sanskrit transliteration
na asatah vidyate bhāvah, na abhāvah vidyate satah |
ubhayoh api dŗśhţah antah tu, anayoh tattva-darshibhih||
Text: The seers of Truth/Reality have come to the conclusion that the unreal (the physical/material body)has no permanence, and the Reality (atman)has no change/variation (it remains permanent) . Upon studying their nature, they have come to this conclusion.

Barely or hardly; scarcely." I CHOOSE THIS MEANING. In the poem, does FACE mean: " DIGNITY, PRESTIGE afraid to lose face"

One who depends on a dictionary, only translates. He that transcends them, having seen the basic meaning if need be, and then sees with a closed eye, he trans-creates. He tries to remain close to the basic meaning of the learned text (like Bhagavad-Gita) and then puts it a poetic form. But You may not understand.
Very nice poetic translation. Have you tried putting Sanskrit verses. PH does take poem of Hindi letters. Sanskrit should work too.
Sorry I did not respond earlier. Yes, I have given both Sanskrit text in Devanagari (Hindi) script and transliteration in Sanskrit Roman, but it has come jumbled, as you can see above. Any suggestions?

Soul is eternal and he never dies and it is truth. Beautifully penned. Nice work.
Thanks Mr Kumarmani, I've done the poetic translation of the entire Bhagavad-Gita, and I might put a few on Poem Hunter. But I see that PH does not take the Sanskrit text, nor yet the transliteration. Any advice?
