The Silence Poem by Kevin Patrick

The Silence

Rating: 5.0

It's the space
between the silence
That holds
the quiet violence
Where things that go unsaid
Become a feral bomb
And turn loves spoiled fruit
Into the civil war called marriage

And words of sweet affection
Evolve into cruel infections
Leaving only silence
The hurtful gaze
Of Silence.....

Beautifully penned. Profound thoughts. Couldn't agree more. Silences get awkward between lovers.
