The Silence Of Trees Poem by sundaram chandrakalaadhar

The Silence Of Trees

the thick-foliaged trees remain
in heavy silence as if in mourning-
do they? no, i am wrong;
beneath their stillness of a statue
there surges the throbbing of their hearts-
a speechless language
soaked in intense emotions-
to share with us all dear thoughts.
look deep into their souls
with all the passions of a learning heart
and catch the wave on wave of vibrations
that lap on your banks;
partake in the joys and sorrows
of a world trapped at a spot from birth to death.
o they have endless stories
for the visiting winds that throw their arms
in friendly warmth on every branch.
are you a poet with the heart of a child?
the trees open their hearts to shower your soul!
