The Soul Has Wings To Fly Poem by Francis Duggan

The Soul Has Wings To Fly

Rating: 5.0

Don't talk to me of Heaven or don't talk to me of Hell
I only know the body for the soul is a shell
And the way we appear to others is beyond our control
For an ugly looking person may have a beautiful soul.

About the supposed hereafter can anyone truly say
This theory seems simplistic or so 'twould seem that way
And whether we are buried or our bones to ash will burn
We are a part of Nature and to her we will return.

The soul lives on forever but in what form i would not know
And within every enlightened soul the light of beauty glow
And though with our blood brothers and sisters we share similar d n a
Scientists only speak of the body when they speak in such a way.

Within a lifeless body a soul not to be found
Perhaps it's out there in the atmosphere somewhere floating around
Waiting for another body i believe the soul does never die
The soul lives on forever and the soul has wings to fly.
