The Spark Poem by Leah DeCresce

The Spark

you sparked my curiosity.
it was spur of the moment.
it was me in all of my brilliance,
the spontaneity of it all bringing a smile to my face,
with every word,
every phrase,
every period & comma,
making an artistic flow of words that were nothing before,
but had meaning now.
it was beautiful.

it was every conversation saved to the desktop.
it was every smile brought to my face when the words flashed across the screen,
like a shooting star from some outer galaxy,
sent here to brighten my day.
& brighten it, you have.
every day since.
the weeks of pain & torture & longing had a point now.
& that point was you.
