The Sparrow's Lament Poem by NeiL ArandA

The Sparrow's Lament

Of all the birds who would feel insecure;
Its the sparrow!
Such its kind is synonymous with sorrow

Why would God made such poor little fellow
It wish it would have been a swallow

Perhaps it envies the peacock with all its fluff
God endowed such creature would make it puff

It stares at the eagle in its lofty splendor
It wish it has the strength of the mighty condor

Birds of paradise like the macaw
Birds of sadness and sorrow; a sparrow

Who would thought of such a paradox?
Could it be less than a hoax?

What have a rich and poor people have in common?
Other than the latter doesn't have much mammon?

Could it be, our Creator, showed others more favor?
Like bird to people, was He impressed by their color?

What's the difference between white feather or black?
Why such a dull colored brown a drawback?

I don't see any reason why a sparrow should be mock
Just like any creature, God takes care of His flock
