The Spider Poem by Stephen Gradwell

The Spider

Tried not killing you,
Didn't mean to hurt you,
Trying to save a life,
Never goes as planned,
Didn't know what I was doing,
Brings you down so quick,
You took a life,
They don't get it back.

Music to my ears,
Play in a grave yard,
Know that you shouldn't,
Makes it more appealing,
Try to run away from it,
Just wants to draw you in,
You can't get it back.

Don't ignore what im saying,
Maybe you shouldn't be so stern to,
Blame it all on nature.

President in the theatre,
And war on the tv,
Hunger and all the insanity,
World at the ransom,
Hope at the handful,
Crying with their own eyes,
They can't get it back,
They can't get it back.
