The Spider And Her Web Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

The Spider And Her Web

Rating: 5.0

She has a passionate ability to weave
A web so subtle it is almost invisible
It has a fragile grip capable of a tangling
Her lethal intent is precise and analytical

Radial spokes connect and hold conclusively
A spiral thread interlaces as the web expands
Transparent threads bind with adhesive silk
Spun and stretched into entrapping strands

Cautiously walking, with no fear of falling
Confident even when a curious wind is blowing
Holding on securely to her cunning ingenuity
Patiently waiting; her anticipation growing

At last, her prey is stopped in mid-flight
Struggling, tiring; encapsulate completely
Wrapped in a cocoon for future consumption
With satisfaction she smiles ever so sweetly
