The Stars Wept Poem by Naveed Akram

The Stars Wept

I really did try to read your stories,
The flooring formed from above,
A fair share was hidden from below,
And the rest of the rhyme was muttered.

My time came to ascend the ranks
Of the obligatory sessions that rained
Down hard on those with ends that met,
Real trying had obtained the misery.

But honestly, a real weather arrived,
Of the story that told a lesson
With a session of reading, all over,
All over the pages that wept with stars.
