They had always been the same together,
wanting each other more and more,
and taking more than there was to give,
but always giving it all.
It was the only reason they had stayed together for so long.
Their lovemaking had always been too powerful for them.
All there was between them had been dominated
by the animal desire they felt for each other.
Only when they made love was there any sense to them.
The rest was all hatred and jealousy and despair.
