I don't want to fall to pieces
Right here on this dark old floor
As I think about the way you touched me
Through our closing door
I fell, I fell so hard
You never even saw it
Inside your cage I now reside
Battered, broken, raw
The beauty of your body
Our language with our eyes
The soft touch of your hand in mine
The thought 'this love never dies'
Your silence stretched me till I broke
And shattered on this floor
But no matter how many pieces I'm in
I know I'll always be yours.
