The Strange Wind Poem by Shubham Koul

The Strange Wind

The strange wind has just blown,
In the field of paddy that was sown,
By the farmer who was skilled,
Knowing this time he shall win.
His will was still alive,
He never feared or cried.
Even he saw he was betrayed,
By his friends who he truly cared.
He lived for his own blood,
Knowing one day it will shine bright.
He had a land full of paddy,
That was whirling up in the sky.
The strange wind has just blown,
Washing away all his dreams and crops.
It was sudden and unexpected,
But still, there he smiled.
Then he looked at his children,
And said them they are his future.
Keeping them in his mind,
He was willing again to try.
Negativity sprouted for a while,
Even then he pushed everything aside,
He started to sow the seed again,
All he wanted was to gain,
Confidence, money and his fame,
That was lost in the sudden rain.
All he lived for his blood to shine,
Didn't know he has very less time.
On the way to harvest his crop on-farm,
He brought his family to enjoy the charm.
As he bent down to cut his fruits,
He lost his consciousness and fell on the ground.
Those who complain about their minor issues,
Saw him unconscious lying on the ground.
With the gentle warm winds swirling in the air,
There was silence prevailing everywhere.
That strange wind has again blown,
This time for the family alone,
They were clueless and puzzled after all,
They felt that everything has surely gone,
And are standing at a new place which they don't belong,
In the same field of paddy that was sown,
By the farmer who was truly skilled,
Knowing this time he shall win.
Later the paddy was harvested by the kids,
With the bite of the meal, they finally win.
They could sense his blood and his spirit inside,
Prevailing in the treasure he wholehearted built.
Maybe his demise was destined to happen,
Maybe he had to go for a better cause,
Maybe the gates of heaven wanted his presence,
Maybe he has now truly won.
