The Stuff Of My Dreams Poem by Tiger Lily Love

The Stuff Of My Dreams

You were a perfect morning
Where dew hung heavy on the grass
You were a blissful memory
Making me want to run back to my past
You were a blazing sun
Warming every inch of me
But setting way to fast
And when you set my darling
It was the most beautiful
Yet saddening thing I've ever seen
And letting you go was nearly impossible
Because you were the stuff of my dreams

Nice beginning and good descriptions that really resonate with the reader throughout. Perfect morning, blissful memory, blazing sun, beautiful yet saddening. My fav. line is: You were a blazing sun Warming every inch of me. I can relate to this line so well being on the island. That is the best feeling in the world. Every inch. A perfectly warm, comfortable feeling. Hard to find, but worth seeking. I lived this one too, lol. Thanks for sharing.

This is delicious. Descriptive and beautiful and amazing. You get your point across without many lines but the lines you do use are powerful enough to leave a lasting picture.
