The sun came out today
to chase my blues away.
It didn’t want me to feel glum,
it wanted me to go out and have fun.
It knew how sad I’d been feeling,
so it came out to raise my smile.
It wanted me to feel happy
though the sky was cloudy and grey,
so the sun came out today
to chase my blues away.
I feel much more happier
and my life is lifted with my smile,
because the sun came out today
to chase my blues away.
