The Sun Sets In Ten Poem by chris schwartz

The Sun Sets In Ten

The sun spoke to me that night
When it fell from the sky
Like a meteor,
So briefly shining bright.
Its colors; its brilliance
Engrained in my mind
As my long awaited love
Captured on film
How quickly the sun sets
On life's most precious moments.
I think I knew it then,
Although I didn't understand
How the rays of the hot sun
Can turn so quickly
Into the stars we ponder on
Each night,
Listening to the silence
Of love
Speak down quietly
On those who
Have not yet entered
The journey of the unknown.
