The Sweetest Lie Poem by reuben dale

The Sweetest Lie

The truth is ever-present
No matter the disguise
I ask you something
You tell me a lie

Such a sweet lie
It slumbers my mind
But so secretly
I know what you hide

in my denial
I bless you with smiles
deceit so deep
My inner self weeps

No more should we be
Your aura slays me
But I just can’t leave
When your all I need.

Ahhhh… I don’t really know you, but the below is for you. “The Blinded Eye” The eye that sees nothing but a lie, Feeling the reality but still denies… Is he who seemed so weak to realize, That what seemed to be needed, Is just a burdened concealment of his being vehement. Oh wake up dear friend before it’s too late… Let the sun shine its light, wake you up and cure thy blinded heart.
