The Tears Of Death Poem by Sarah2 McMahon

The Tears Of Death

She lies there, with her face down.
Floating on an endless stream
Lifeless limbs, bloodless veins
Had no time to scream.

Her last words, 'Don't forget'
Her last breath, 'Good bye'
Now she hopes they understand—
The tears flow from her eyes

Thoughts begin, her face turns dark
She left them now for good
Should she turn back, is there a mistake
If there was, she never could

Her own mind says 'Not weak, you're strong'
Her heart says otherwise
Still let down and kicked around
The tears flow from her eyes

Never again, never again
The days begin to turn
Her face adjusts, her heart is cold
Her feelings never churn

She's dead deep down and makes that smile
Never needs a break
Her life is perfect from her sad eyes
Her life now hers to fake

Now lying there she hears her heart
Beaten from the lies
Dead she feels but she lives on
The tears flow from her eyes.
