The Territorians Poem by G J Lee

The Territorians

The Territorians
We are the Territorians
And we are proud and strong
We have fought through war and cyclone
And whatever else was wrong

We cannot be defeated
No matter what they do
They could cover us in bulldust
But we always will shine through

We are the Territorians
And we are proud and free
Let us fight for our railroad
And our university
You’ve all heard of pikers
Well that’s something we’ll never be
For we are great people
We, of the Territory

We are the Territorians
Strong as a Buffalo and clever as a croc
And like the Goanna
We shall never stop

We shall have our railroad
And our University
For we are born to fight
We
Of the Territory.
