The Thing

There's this thing inside of me,
This thing that's thriving to come out,
This thing that screams and shouts,
This thing that I worry about.

I battle with this thing each and everyday,
Trying my best to keep this thing at bay,
But sometimes I'm defeated and I let this thing have its way,
And I let it lash out out some days.

Its powerfull, crazy, this thing's strength is amazing,
And this thing has been flaring out more and more lately,
This thing that I once feared and ignored,
Is becoming something I'm starting to love like never before.

poet Rupert Brooke

If I should die, think only this of me:
That there's some corner of a foreign field
