The Three Times Poem by Brian Taylor

The Three Times

Adjusting the Present
with Past and Future
is like adjusting the Feet
to fit the Shoes.
Any way you look at this you lose.

Don’t stop talking about tomorrow.
It wasn’t like this before the war.
I’ll get it right next time.
You owe me one.

It distorts both feet and shoes.
