The Timing Of The Climbing! Poem by Denis Martindale

Right now
Is not the time to climb
That snow-capped mountain.
Spring will arrive soon, and that snow will melt,
And expose the mountain it all its glory.
When Summer comes, I will start the climb,
When the climate is better suited to my purpose.
And if I triumph, and stand atop the mountain,
I will smile at the wisdom of patience.
And if I make my way down, to the plains again,
Surely I will have no further concern or fear.
Life will seem all the sweeter than it is
Right now.
