The Towers Of Silence Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

The Towers Of Silence

The Towers of Silence
Far from
At a place
Into the landscapes
Solitary and lonely
Under the skies
With the birds of prey
Perched around the tops
Or hovering over

The Towers, the Towers of Silence,
Silence,
Whereupon the Zoroastrians expose
Their dead
And birds feeding upon,
Cleansing forth flesh,
Bones left telling the story of life.
