The Town's Unsung Heroes Poem by Francis Duggan

The Town's Unsung Heroes

Rating: 4.5

For people doing it tough they do feel sympathy
So blessed are they who possess empathy
For how others feel they do genuinely care
But sad to say their sort as ever seem rare
To the higher self they do live as true
And credit to them in abundance is due
In their words they never do put others down
The quiet achievers of their side of the town
The people who perform good deeds every day
To help others out they go out of their way
They help out the people of help who are in need
The town's unsung heroes are heroes indeed
A credit to their communities by good example they lead
Yet so little of them we do hear of or read.
